In response to the demand for more skin customization options from the ever-growing group of yBook users, capabilities of the Flipbook Skin Editor have been greatly enhanced. Options provided with every single skin are now configurable, which allows for different settings for each skin.

The changes go even further, as a host of new options has been introduced, including:

• playing user-uploaded sounds, i.e. on page change,
• hiding/showing certain buttons,
• defining Table of Contents tab's look & feel,

...and many more!

Support for interactive materials made using yBook's sister product, yPublisher (http://ypublisher.eu/), has been added. yPublisher is a complete solution for advanced e-content creation from Young Digital Planet.

After uploading several interactive lessons from yAuthor or yPublisher, there is no need to worry about finding the right one on the list with the meaningless script names, i.e. script_000001.utt. yBook 1.3 displays a list with lesson titles, which is by far more convenient and user-friendly.

The long-awaited Search functionality comes with yBook 1.3. It is now possible to search for a few characters or an entire phrase automatically! Search results are highlighted in the text as well as on the page list, allowing for the maximum user comfort.

Flipbook usage has been further facilitated by allowing the users to navigate and perform some operations directly from their keyboards. Keys being supported include:

• arrows,
• Page Up/Page Down,
• Delete,
• Escape (Esc).

Calculator from the teacher panel can now also work in the Scientific mode, providing user with additional math operations, i.e. trigonometric functions.

Teacher panel has been completely rewritten from scratch, which has greatly improved its performance.

User annotations made using the teacher panel's tools are now saved for every publication separately.

yBook portal's buttons are now fully customizable, using the instance customization option. Now you can fully adjust the web application's look and feel to match your expectations.

Would you like to only slightly alter your flipbook without having to create it anew? Or perhaps you need a second version of it with several pages removed? It is no longer necessary to prepare a publication once more. By using the Copy flipbook option, yBook will generate an exact copy for you, which you can use immediately!

Similarily to copying content, several flipbooks can now be merged into one. Just select the flipbooks to merge in the My Library or Common Library tab and click on the Merge selected button. On the next screen arrange the merge order, select which skin and metadata to use and thatos it!

Release notes are now accessible from the Login page, so that everyone can learn about the exciting new features.
